The Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) has just announced to put a ban on import, production and circulation of A83 gasoline.
The information was disclosed by Vo Van Quyen-Head of the Domestic Market Department under MoIT at the MoIT’s regular press conference held yesterday afternoon [Sep 3].
The reason for this ban is a number of petroleum firms cheated by mixing A83 gasoline with A92 gasoline and sold with the price of the A92 gasoline, making the poor gasoline quality, MoIT provided.
MoIT currently is reviewing the A83 gasoline stocks to have A83 consumption in a positive way, do not pour A83 gasoline into the market. At the same time, the Ministry also find solution for A83 producers to change to A92 production.
